Charity Kili Climb

On the 2nd Feb 2011, 16 explorers fly to Tanzania, to try to reach the summit of the world’s highest freestanding mountain, Kilimanjaro. Standing at 5895m, the team face a challenging trek at extreme altitude, pushing themselves to the limits both physically and mentally. Taking the Lemosho route the team pass through humid rain forest, giant heather moorlands and frozen scree - all in preparation for the summit attempt to Uhuru Peak, where the temperature can plummet to -20 to -30 degrees.

Post madness feed ...

Lisa here again ...

Post the madness that was our walk on Saturday, we warmed through in a lovely pub (with the most miserable staff EVER) called The Wellington in Breacon. The food was spot on ... just what we needed after all that horrid weather. Whether we needed the desserts too is another matter but boy did they look good ... :)
