We are off

Morning all,

We are in a 4 by 4 on our way to the start. It's flipping bumpy so please excuse any typos.

Everyone is fine though you can feel the nervous excitement in the air! The weather is fine though the dark clouds are building so we may get wet this afternoon.

Literally on cue ad we rounded the corner to the entrance gate the mountain appeared above the clouds which caused a few gasps in the jeep !

The good news is that Nigel Howlet's cough is very much improved. I am also improving too. Hopefully by Sunday we will both be well enough to carry on.

Thanks for all your support back home. 226 people read the blog yesterday which is just great and definitely motivates the team.

    Best of luck today eveyone. Great to hear the two nigels are getting better. Ally a little bit of rain will be no bother to you. I remember when we were soaked to the skin with our first day training with the Sydney Swans and the trek home in it. You can do it girl x x

    Good Luck Everyone especially Jane... who was my inspiration and motivation to climb Kili last year.
    Enjoy the fantastic views on the way up and take lots of photos. Just keep going no matter how tired you feel. Cos the views at the top are truly amazing and only a few get to see and remember them.
    I feel like I am with you all and wish I was doing it again.
    Take care all and wrap up warm its very very cold at the top.
